Diet

As far as my diet is concered I have not had Pizza for 2 months. I still have a few social drinks once or twice a week. I eat a big breakfast eggs or cereal, slightly smaller lunch and maybe a stir fry, mixed salad or similar in the evening but not after 7pm. I snack on Fruit and either Cashews or Brazil nuts throughout the day. I probably should count my calories a little better but I find it very difficult. I think I am not far off in fairness. I have cut my coffee intake to one or two cups a day and now drink mainly oolong tea and water, the occasional sugar free Red Bull and maybe a glass of wine/beer every now and again! Chocloate has left the building and my only real indulgence is jelly sweets but that is not very often.

Progress Update

Okay so yesterday was a bad day. I only did half my Legs and Back workout. I also was dragged out for a few drinks last night so I am slightly disappointed with myself. As punishment I have to do Legs and Back again as well as Kenpo X today. That will teach me!! I am probably being hard on myself but I will feel no guilt tonight just pain.....

Ab Ripper X

Ab Ripper X is getting easier and I am now managing to complete all the exercises in time with Tony and his buddies apart from the Mason Twists at the end. This is a problem for me as my girlfriend managed to smash out 50 without even breaking a sweat. Still no matter I guess we all have our weak spots. See how she likes it when I crucify her in a pull up challenge!

P90x Training Block 2

I am now part way into the 2nd week of training block 2 or nearly halfway through my P90x journey. There is a slight difference in the Adaptive and Mastery phase with the inclusion of 2 new workouts. We have Chest, Shoulders and Triceps and the other is Back and Biceps. These appear to substitute Chest and Back and also Shoulders and Arms from the first block. Both are far more intensive, presumably to avoid the dreaded plateau.

Progress Update

Mid way throught the third week and P90x is still hard. I have noticed my shoulders and arms gaining some size and definition and my core work is starting to pay off. Ab Ripper X is still the bane of my life and I dread the 16 minutes of misery but it is working. I am loving the fact that it only takes roughly an hour to do a workout and I can do it at my convenience. Looking forward to next week as it is my first Recovery Phase.

Heart Rate Monitor

I recently bought a heart rate monitor for the cardio based work outs which helps you to stay in the zone
